PML-N submits adjournment motion in NA against distribution of Civil Awards

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday submitted an adjournment motion against Civil Awards given President Asif Ali Zardari allegedly in violation of merit.

According to details, the members of majority opposition party in National Assembly PML-N Rana Tanveer Hussain, Chaudhry Burgees Tahir, Tahira Aurangzeb, Malik Shakil Awan, Malik Abrar Ahmad, Muhammad Junaid Anwar, Begum Nuzhat Sadiq, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Rana Mehmood-ul-Hasan, Malik Shakir Shabbir, Chaudhry Saud Majeed and Nelson Azeem jointly submitted the adjourned motion in National Assembly against the Civil Awards announced by President Asif Ali Zardari.
The motion said that the President Zardari conferred awards on his loyal people to the exclusion of those who served the country selflessly, adding that the award giving process stood in contradiction with rules and regulations and past traditions
The adjournment motion demanded National Assembly’s routine proceedings be halted to hold a debate against this step by President Zardari. SANA
