Parliamentary body receives recommendations of JC for regularization of seven LHC, PHC judges’

The recommendations of Judicial Commission regarding the regularization of seven judges of Peshawar High Court and Lahore High Court has received by the Parliamentary Committee on Wednesday.

Judicial Commission in his previous meeting chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Saturday recommended regularization of seven Additional Judges of Lahore and Peshawar High Courts.
The commission in his previous meeting recommended regularization of Justice Sagheer Ahmed Qadri, Justice Khwaja Imtiaz and Justice Qasim Khan from the Lahore High Court and Justice Fatahuddin, Justice Mazhar Alam, Justice Ataullah and Justice Shafi Ahmed of Peshawar High Court.
The Chief Justices of respective high courts, Federal Minister of Law Maula Bakhsh Chandio, Provincial Law Ministers, Attorney General Molvi Anwarul Haq and representatives of the bar councils attended the meeting.
It is worth mentioning here that parliamentary committee has the authority to regularize the judges.
According to sources the recommendation were received by the Secretary Cabinet who is also the Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee and the meeting of the committee is expected soon. SANA
