ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Professional and Technical Training
Riaz Hussain Pirzada has directed DG National Commission of Human
development to take action against the officials, which are involved,
in the unethical practice of harassing female staff.
Federal
Minister received some complaints that some of the officials of NCHD
have been indulged in making harassment to female staff at its
headquarters to fulfill their malicious intensions. On which minister
called a high level meeting to resolve the issue in which Director
General and all regional directors of NCHD participated. During meeting
DG NCHD told the minister that some staff members in the National
Commission for Human Development (NCHD) have adopted un-ethical
practices, as they do not bother to follow the organizational norms due
to political affiliation. These people claim to be part of informal set
up like Central Action Committee and Provincial Action Committees are
harassing the staff members. They are also defying the orders of the
management and have resorted to violence and manhandling with their
colleagues. They have indulged in harassment of female staff.
The
Minister took the matter very seriously and warned all these elements
to stop such activities forthwith. Hew also directed DG NCHD that all
sorts of informal set up should be ceased forthwith in the department.
Riaz Pirzada said that in case these instructions are not followed, the
ministry would itself take legal action against individuals responsible. Online
