Protest demonstrations were held on Friday in Indian Held Kashmir,
Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan against the arrest of Executive
Director of Kashmir American Council Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai by US.
Protest demonstrations against the arrest of Dr Fai were held after
the Juma prayers at different villages of IHK during which the
participants condemned the arrest of Dr Fai and demanded immediate
release.
It is worth mentioning here that Dukhtran Millat, People’s Freedom
League, Islami Political Party, People’s League and Tehreek Nifaz
Shariat Islami severely condemned the arrest of Dr Fai by US and
demanded the immediate release of Dr Fai.
Acting leader of Dukhtran Millat Ms Rifaat Fatima said that the
arrest of Dr Fai by US has no reason, adding that the arrest of Dr Fai
revealed the anti Muslim face of US
She said that the reason of arresting Dr Fai was to weaken Kashmir
freedom movement at diplomatic level, adding that Dr Fai is working
from last 32 years to raise the Kashmir issue on international level
and was working to show the realities of Kashmiri nation facing in IHK.
She requested the world community to play their due role for the
immediate release of Dr Fai.
Senior leader of Hurriyet Conference and leader of Islamic Political
Party Mohammad Yousaf Naqqash showed serous concerns over the arrest of
Dr Fai and condemn it.
He said that as a Kashmiri citizen Dr Fai representing peacefully
for the Kashmir cause on diplomatic fronts and contacted with
international leaders and institutions to stop the Indian atrocities in
IHK. He said that it was the conspiracy of India to arrest Dr Fai.
General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir peoples league Malik Manzoor
Ahmad condemned the arrest of Dr Fai by FBI and said that Dr Fai is
working as ambassador of Kashmiri people in West, adding that Dr Fai is
working peacefully for independence movement of Kashmir. He appealed
the world community to play their role for immediate release of Dr Fai.
Chairman People Freedom League Mohammad Farooq Rehmani showed
surprise over the arrest of Dr Fai on the occasion of strategic
dialogues between India an US.
He said that the reason of arrest of Dr Fai was the acceptance of
right of self determination of Kashmir people by US and the Kashmir
people were hopeful that US would help to solve the Kashmir but the
arrest of Dr Fai have shattered the hopes of Kashmiri people.
Leader of Tehreek Nifaz Shariat Islami Nisar Hussain condemned the
arrest of Dr Fai and said that it was the worse example of anti-Muslim
enmity, adding that Dr Fai was arrested on the recommendation of India;
meanwhile he demanded the immediate release of Dr Fai.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Abdul Rashid Turabi addressing the protest
demonstration against the arrest of Dr Fai in Rawalpindi said that
Pakistan should return the US aid and come out from the alliance of US
against the so called war against terrorism.
He said that the arrest of Dr Fai was the slander campaign against
ISI and Pakistan, adding that it is need of hour to give strong
feedback against this campaign.
Meanwhile protest demonstrations were also held by JI AJK at different districts of AJK on the call JI IHK.
The speakers addressing the protest rallies said that Islamic
countries should boycott US, India and Israel; meanwhile the protesters
raised slogans against US, India and Israel.
Meanwhile Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai was not produced before the court on
Friday by the FBI and the next hearing of the case would be held on
next Tuesday.
It is worth mentioning here that Dr Fai was arrested by FBI some days before accusing that Dr Fai has relations with ISI.
According to the lawyer of Dr Fai an application of bail would be
submitted in the next hearing on Tuesday and it is expected that the
bail would be granted against surety bonds of one or two million
dollars.
According to a private TV channel FBI has issued warrants of 12 people in Dr Fai case, meanwhile no arrest was reported yet. SANA
