Pak-US should restore trust deficit: Pervez Musharraf

Former President of Pakistan general, Pervez Musharraf has said that after the US operation of Abbottabad Pakistan and America should have to create restore trust between thme.

He said that Pakistan is not involved in the issue of Osama Bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad.
In an interview with US TV channel CNN he said that America should respect the sovereignty of Pakistan.
He said that the America should have to recognize the intensity of the relations between Pakistan and India.
He said that no one provided shelter to Osama in Pakistan and if the Army or ISI had been involved in the matter he should have been informed about it.
He said that there is need to convince the international community that the presence of Osama in Pakistan does not mean that the Pakistan was involved in providing shelter to him, but it is the negligence of the concerned authorities.
He said that the Abbottabad operation made negative impact on the relations of Pakistan and America but now the both countries would have to restore trust on each other and move forward.
He said that after the Abbottabad operation, if America made any operation against Ayman Al-Zawahiri, it would be against the sovereignty of Pakistan and would result in further increase in hate for America in Pakistani masses.
He said that he thinks that after the death of Osama the terrorist groups have become weaken. He said that the people who involved in the providing shelter to Osama should be punished. SANA
