ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has
said that the Government’s decision to achieve revenue target after
taking loans from banks was a joke with Parliament and masses of the
country.
“The Government should constitute a Parliamentary
committee to probe the issue”, he said this while taking at a point of
order in the national assembly on Friday. The government had retired
Auditor General of Pakistan, Tanvir Ali Agha, in a controversial
decision against the advice of the Law Ministry, he said. Government
State Bank also tendered his resignation due to unwise Policies of
Government, he claimed. The former federal minister said that
Government had borrowed Rs. 43 billion from banks to achieve revenue
target. Premature retirement of auditor General of Pakistan,
