ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani
called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here at the PM House
and discussed the overall security situation of the country.
The
army chief also briefed him about the ongoing operation against
militants in the tribal areas, besides discussing the professional
matters of the Pakistan Army.
According to sources, Army Chief
took Prime Minister Gilani into confidence over his meeting with US
National Intelligence Chief besides informing him DG ISI meeting with
US Military leadership.
Both the high ups again made it clear that no compromise would be made on country’s sovereignty and national integrity.

also informed COAS about his recent visit to UK. Sources said that COAS
briefed PM over development work in tribal areas and ongoing operation
