ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has adopted
condemnation resolution against the government for flouting Supreme
Court (SC). Verdicts. SCBA met here Thursday under its president Asma
Jahangir and passed a condemnation resolution against government
attitude towards court’s decisions.
It was laid down in the
resolution that supremacy of law and constitution should be
acknowledged. Country was being driven into lawlessness, anarchy and
constitutional crackdown. If government does not set right its
direction then the problems will grow aggravated.
Resolution
further said “ It is responsibility of government to implement apex
court decisions. If it is not done so and courts decisions will
continue to be flouted then the legal fraternity will evolve its
strategy for enforcement of apex court’s decisions.
It was said
in the resolution that situation in the tribal areas was very worst.
Innocent people were being killed. Powers from army be withdrawn in
