Notion of clash between institutions just speculations: PM Gilani

Describing the notion of clash between institutions as “speculations”, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said the present government respects all the institutions.
“We restored the [1973] Constitution, which is enough proof that we want to build the institutions. These are all speculations. We know spirit of the constitution,” Gilani said in response to a question about the government’s current relations with the Supreme Court. Talking to media persons here after attending a photo exhibition on “Spirit of Peace   50 Years of Pakistan’s Contribution to UN Peacekeeping,” the Prime Minister said as far as US assistance in the war on terror vis a vis military or civilian aid are concerned the Pakistan government and military are on the same page. “We are on the same page. We all are together”, he stressed.
He said US is a strategic partner of Pakistan and both countries are ready to resolve their issues including matter of military assistance.
He said Pakistan wants its relations with India on the basis of equality and mutual respect. APP
