Managing Director Pakistan Baitul Maal Zamurud Khan has said that
corruption is present in every institution of the country, adding that
the corruption is also being committed in health department.
He said that the local and international drug mafia is involved in
the corruption being committed in the filed of health, adding that this
mafia is playing with the human lives, adding that this mafia would be
dealt with iron hands.
This he said while addressing the ceremony in connection with the
world hepatitis day; meanwhile the seminar was organized by City Lab
and Green Task Force here at a local hotel.
He said that 800 million rupees has been paid for the treatment of
hepatitis by the Pakistan Baitul Mall, adding that the four billion
rupees recovered from the corrupt people are being distributed
throughout the country without any discrimination.
He said that 40 thousand wheel chairs are also being distributed in
the disabled persons, which are provided by Chinese government as a
gift to Pakistan.
The ceremony was addressed by the President Green Task Force Dr
Jamal Nasir, Mian Siddiqu Akbar, Dr Mubashir, Dr Tanveer, Dr Qayyum
Awan, Lt Gen (retd) Fahim Ahmed Khan, Dr Ali Mehmood, Rawalpindi
Medical College Principle Muhammad Afzal Farooq and Rawalpindi Chambers
of Commerce and Industry President Ali Raza Shah.
Zamurud Khan said that the Pakistan Baitulmal also serving the
people of Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. He said that the patients are
not facing any problem to access the Baitulmal. He said that with the
permission of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the recovered
money of corruption would be used in all over the Pakistan
He said that the Baitulmal is using 800 million for treatment of
hepatitis C. He said that we have to make plan that how we can save our
Nation from hepatitis and other diseases. He said that the biggest
service in the world is to help and respect the humanity.
He said that the corruption is every where in the country, in Holly
Family we find the corruption of 15 million rupees, adding that after
investigations we have recovered this money. SANA
