China gives Rs two million to BISP

ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja has said that Pakistan and China friendship is time-tested and based on the mutual cooperation between both the countries in various fields especially in social sector.

She was talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Liu Jian here at her office on Thursday. Farzana informed the ambassador about the details of the various steps taken her organization for the reduction of poverty. She said that the programme has successfully been able to bring revolutionary changes in the lives of more than 4 million beneficiary families of BISP.
Chinese Ambassador Liu Jian appreciated the performance of BISP and termed it as a very effective initiative in the social sector. On the occasion, the ambassador presented a cheque of Rs two million for Benazir Income Support Programme. The diplomat also extended an invitation to.
