Pakistan to support Afghan led reconciliation peace process: PM Gilani

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan sincerely desires for peace and stability in Afghanistan and will extend all possible support to the Afghan led reconciliation peace process.

He assured that Pakistan is committed to create conducive environment for meaningful negotiations leading to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister was talking to Foreign Secretary, Mr. Salman Bashir at the Prime Minister’s House this afternoon who called on him to apprise about his recent visit to Afghanistan for the Trilateral Core Group meeting.
The Foreign Secretary has informed the Prime Minister that he has also called on the President Hamid Karzai who conveys his good wishes for the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister. He also apprised about his discussion with the Afghan leadership on the Bilateral Agreements on Joint Commission between Pakistan and Afghanistan after Trilateral Core Group meeting. Online
