LAHORE: Four FIA officers who had conducted investigation into NICL
scam along with former DG FIA Zafar Qureshi and arrested Moonis Elahi
have been transferred to remote areas, says notification issued by FIA
headquarters here Saturday.
As per notification these four key
investigation officers have been transferred to far off areas and
notification was issued overnight. Their transfer orders have been
issued following the cancellation of transfer orders of Zafar Qureshi
by Supreme Court.
Deputy director Javed Shah has been
transferred from Lahore to Dera Ismail Khan, Assistant Director
Muhammad Ahmad to Turbat, Assistant director Khalid Anees to Peshawar
and inspector Muhammad Sarwar to Gwadar.
Sources told posting
orders were issued overnight and these officers have been directed to
relinquish their charges immediately and report to their new place of
posting.
These four officers had conducted raid on the office
of Chaudhry Moonis Elahi and arrested his manager Abdul Malik during
the investigation of NICL scandal. Online
