Kharotabad commission suggests punitive actions against culprits

ISLAMABAD: The commission probing the killing of five foreigners in Kharotabad has concluded saying that the firing after the lady had raised her hand was a brutal and unlawful for which punitive actions should have been taken.

According to the media reports and military sources, the report of the Kharotabad Commission revealed that the five foreigners killed in the incident had entered illegally in Pakistan.
“They were in possession of CDs which were prepared in South Waziristan and reveal ulterior motives of foreigners for sabotage activities in the province”, sourced added.
They further stated that the recovery of detonators from foreigners also reinforced their designs of terrorist activities and detonators are used in bombing. First engagement by security forces to stop foreigners was justified, they added.
The report also condemned the firing after the lady raised her hand was criminal action and culprits should be brought before justice.
It is pertinent to mention here that security forces shot dead five foreigners including 3 women on May 17 in Kharotabad. Online
