KARACHI: Chief, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain paid
his deep gratitude to the people of Karachi particularly traders,
transporters, industrialists, religious clerics, civil society and
political parties for observing a peaceful day of mourning across the
country against the bloodshed of innocents in Karachi.

Chief in a statement on Tuesday, said that shopkeepers, small traders,
industrialists, transporters and common people from Karachi, Hyderabad,
Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Nawab Shah and across the country, they responded
positively to the MQM’s appeal for the mourning day.
They have expressed their complete solidarity with the MQM, he said.
He
further added that the whole nation is united against the menace of
terrorism, target killing and extortion. Hussain also appraised the
efforts of the MQM workers upon peaceful protest and observing
successful mourning day, therefore, I am grateful at this response, he
