PML-N hurdle in formation of grand opposition: Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Amir Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Moulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday said that the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) was a big hurdle in the formation of a grand alliance of opposition political parties.
He said that the PML-N leadership would have to change its attitude and play the role of a responsible opposition.

Talking to media person, the JUI-F chief called on the PML-N leadership to adopt a responsible attitude and change its mindset.
He said Abdul Ghafoor Haideri would remain the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate as the MQM has announced support of JUI-F in Senate.
Fazl further said that the JUI-F was in contact with religious parties for the revival of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
Regarding the Shamsie air base, the JUI-F chief said that allowing the US to operate at the base in the current manner was akin to compromising the country’s sovereignty. 
Replying a question, he said that he is going to participate in a conference on Kashmir and President Zardari has not sent any plane, adding that there is no fixed meeting with President Zardari in Britain.
He said differences between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the MQM emerged after the postponement of Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections for three seats representing the Kashmiri Diaspora in Karachi and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The MQM had pulled out of the coalition at the centre as well as in Sindh after it blamed the Pakistan People’s Party-led government of being ‘autocratic’ and its actions ‘dictatorial’.
He said that time proved that war against terrorism is to deceive the people but the main purpose of this war is that America is fighting for political supremacy in the region and this military campaign was launched to posses the economy and resources of the region.
Replying a question he said that due to government weak policies Indian Prime Minister spoke about Pakistan’s internal problems and India is commenting on Pakistan due to failed and ineffective policies of current government.
He said that politicians should criticize the policies but Pak army’s character should not be criticized.
Meanwhile according to a statement Chairman Kashmir Committee Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Kashmir dispute cannot be put in the background in any case and Indian Prime Minister knows that Kashmir is a disputed area, world accepted it on United Nations forum.
He said that Pakistan would not leave alone Kashmiris in difficult times and Pakistan would keep continue their diplomatic, political and moral help.
Responding the Indian primer statement Fazl said that India himself made a Kashmir dispute an international problem and India taken it to United Nations, which passed 18 resolutions and asked to conduct elections for Kashmiris to decide their future and when India felt that Kashmiris would not favor India so it refuse to conduct referendum.
He said that since last 60 years India is using tactics to change Kashmiris mind and several times conduct rigged elections and many delegations were sent for the purpose but India failed badly in its mission.
Rehman said that the Indian government issues statements of their own interest and the Indian Prime Minister is not aware of ground realities and Kashmir issue is of international importance and the Indian Prime Minister’s statement was reflective of our government’s weak policies. SANA
