Attique terms recent AJK polls ’blackest’ in state’s history

MUZAFFARABAD: AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan had alleged AJK polls were the ever blackest polls in the history of state adding PPP would not be able to digest this election.

AJK PM said this while addressing a crowded press conference here Friday after attending OIC conference.
He alleged Mian Nawaz Sharif had come to Azad Kashmir to divide Muslim Conference. He should have returned my winners Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) rather than making announcement for construction of motorway.
He went on to say people of Kashmir were desperately disappointed over these polls. Chief Election Commissioner be executed. An inquiry commission comprising judges of superior courts be constituted. Voters lists were full of errors and wrong entries. A letter has been sent to Prime Minister Pakistan wherein these errors have been pinpointed, he disclosed.
He held all the political parties had voiced protest over these polls. Politics of the political parties from outside the state would leave negative impact on Kashmir issue, he added.
He maintained that country was facing severe internal and external challenges. Several forces had launched assault on ideological identity of Pakistan, he underscored. Economic problems have gone worst and launching any protest movement in this situation is not proper, he added.
Citing to OIC conference he told he had presented 4-point formula to sort out Kashmir issue on June, 30, 2011 and it was acknowledged by 57 member countries of OIC.
He said that senior leadership of Pakistan and India should visit state of Jammu and Kashmir as this move would help make the atmosphere congenial. Military leadership of both the countries should hold talks to address security concerns with reference to resolution of Kashmir issue , he added. OIC should set up Pakistan-India Kashmir Joint development fund, he held.
AJK PM strongly condemned the statement given by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and appealed to government of Pakistan and political parties to voice protest against this statement.
This endeavour on the part of Indian PM was based on historical misperception, he said adding Kashmir issue was linked to political fate of 18 million Kashmiris. This issue is basically issue of people of Kashmir and Pakistan is extending moral support to Kashmiris as it was stake holder to this issue , he underlined.
Kashmir issue is destined to be resolved as per will of people of Kashmir and UN charter, he underscored. Online
