Kashmir issue integral part of PPP’s manifesto: PM Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday said that resolution of Kashmir issue was an integral part of Pakistan Peoples Party’s manifesto. “ Huge mandate in the AJK elections is a reflection of the recognition by the Kashmiri people of the PPP’s continued support for their right to self-determination,” he said while talking to senior journalists at his residence here.He said that PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had laid the foundation for the resolution of Kashmir issue according to aspirations of Kashmiri people.He said the historic victory of the PPP in the AJK elections was vivid proof of Kashmiris’ confidence in the policies of the government.

Gilani urged the opposition to accept mandate of Kashmiris and support the government so that a strong message of unity could be sent to the international community for the resolution of Kashmir issue.  

Felicitating the nation on PPP’s victory in the AJK polls, he said Kashmiris rejected negative propaganda of the opposition parties in this regard.      
The Prime Minister said that the government would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris for ensuring peace in the region.
“ Pakistanis have emotional attachment with Kashmiris,” he added. APP
