Afghan border police accuse Pakistan of firing ‘dozens of missiles’ in Khost

KHOST: The Afghan border police has accused Pakistan of ‘firing more than dozens of missiles and mortars’ in the southeastern Afghan province of Khost, during past 24 hours.

An Afghan news source has quoted the border police commander of Afghanistan, Muhammad Gul, that Pakistani fired missiles and mortars over Southeastern district areas of Ali Sher, barek Thani, and Garbaz.
However no details of any loss of lives and property has so far been reported, while the Afghan police commander has said that police teams had been sent to areas to carry out ‘an estimate of losses’.
The Afghan police commander has informed that Pakistan’s interior ministry has been informed of these attacks, while Afghan sources also claim that Pakistani side had requested grace period to reply to these allegations.
It is pertinent to note that the Afghan police commander of Eastern Zone Brigadier general Aminullah Amarkhel has resigned in protest of these alleged attacks from Pakistani side and refusal of Afghan government to ‘retaliate against Pakistan’. Online
