Supreme Court would not give any judgment, which benefit terrorists: Justice Javed

ISLAMABAD : Justice Javed Iqbal said during the hearing of missing persons case  in his remarks that court will not made any decision, which would benefit the terrorists of the country.

Government told the Supreme Court during the case of missing persons that it would allocate stipend to the families of the missing persons; meanwhile the repost was submitted by the Additional Attorney General KK Agha regarding the decision in the SC.
Justice Javed Iqbal said that any organization is not above the law and Supreme Court would not announce any decision, which gives relief to terrorists.
Justice Javed Iqbal headed the two-member bench to hear the missing persons’ case on Thursday.
He said that all sensitive organizations are doing their job well and wrongdoing of some people cannot be based to accuse all organizations.
Additional Attorney General K K Agha told the court that charges would be paid to missing persons’ families and government decided to pay 60 thousand per family living allowance to missing persons’ families.
In the reply Justice Javed Iqbal said that this money is very small, which shows that government’s economic conditions are very poor. However, billions of rupees of Zakat funds can be used for this purpose.
During the course of hearing Chairperson Defense of Human Rights Amina Masood Janjua said that the interior ministry wanted to share some information in the chamber of court about her missing husband.
Justice Javed Iqbal said that all hidden details and information are become open for all so this information should be presented in the court, adding that missing persons case is taken to decrease the problems of missing persons family.
Additional Attorney General told the court that investigation commission about the missing persons would present its report at the end of June.
He further told the court that Balochistan government has paid the money to families of those people, who were killed in the target killings, adding that commission issued protection orders of Hafiz Ibrahim Khalil, who himself appear on the scene and did not blame anyone.
In the reply Justice Javed said that may be he is facing any pressure, adding that they remained under arrest for two and a half months and no development took place in this case.
He said that no organization is above the law and court took this decision to save the families from difficulties.
He said that some reports about the missing persons are prepared based on exaggeration, adding that news about the numbers of missing persons are not accurate.
He added that development regarding the investigation is encouraging and later case was adjourned till two weeks. SANA
