No Taliban Shoora in Quetta: Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi

Quetta: Governor Baluchistan Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi has said that if the innocent people were killed during Kharotabad tragedy then judiciary may take action and government should also hold an inquiry as well.

He was speaking to the media after the convocation at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University here on Thursday. He said that the he as a governor is not the part of any activity against the provincial government of Aslam Raisani . “However long ago I played role to topple the governments of Akhtar Mangal and Taj Jamali, but it is the story of past . Now I have been retired from politics and at present I am not interested in making any person Chief Minister”, Governor added.
The governor said that the federation did not realize its pledges to resolve the problems of Baluchistan . This issue cannot be settled by only holding ‘Jirgas’. In spite of assurance of Federal government, PSDP funds for the province was reduced. The Jirga system is outdated . Now the courts are present and judicial system exists here . If you want to resolve the issue through Jirgas , then you have to abolish the government system
“ If the Taliban Shoora was present in Quetta then no one could stop USA from assault but according to my information they are not here” , Magsi added.
Responding a question regarding law and order situation in the province, he said that after 18th amendment ,governor has not any authority but the provincial government is powerful. It would be much better to ask CM on peace in the province.
Earlier during the convocation at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University , Nawab Zulfiqar Maqsi said that the education in general and particularly women education can guarantee the national development. He said to achieve the goal of prosperity and progress , strengthen the woman folk is the top priority of the government.
Some 500 female students from 14 disciplines were awarded with degrees. On showing best performance 17 students were decorated with medals and 54 were given badges. On the occasion governor announced to give one hundred thousand rupees each for the medallion wining students. Online
