Beijing : President Hu Jintao of China appreciated Pakistan’s “outstanding contributions inthe fight against terrorism.”
Jintao said this Friday during meeting with Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani at Great Hall of the People here, Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir later told newsmen. Bashir said Chinese President called on international community to help Pakistan in its endeavour to combat extremism and terrorism. Jintaosaid Pakistan is important country in the region and has a unique role in promoting reconciliation and development in Afghanistan.
Gilani thanked President Jintao for Chinese support in expressing full solidarity to Pakistan’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. He also expressed thanks for Chinese support for Pakistan’s economic development especially in energy, agriculture and infrastructure development. PPI
