BEIJING : Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan has decided to revisit its strategy against war on terror and its relations with the United States according to the resolution adopted by the parliament.
Answering questions of students of Peking University in Beijing on
Thursday, he said Pakistan has rendered tremendous sacrifices in the
war against terrorism and the world should recognize our sacrifices.
He said sacrifices given by NATO are much less than our sacrifices
and we have lost about thirty thousand civilians and five thousand
soldiers besides an equal number who have been disabled.
The Prime Minister said peace cannot be achieved in Afghanistan
without cooperation of Pakistan. Pakistan is part of the solution in
Afghanistan and bringing peace, progress and stability in the world.
Answering questions, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said Pakistan has
condemned drone attacks being carried out on our soil and we consider
them as violation of our sovereignty and integrity. He said we have
reminded a number of times to the United States that these are counter
productive and these help terrorists to again associate with the local
tribe. He said the parliament has also condemned these attacks
demanding of the US to stop them.
The Prime Minister said we are responsible nation and nuclear power
and we know how to protect our sovereignty and integrity. He expressed
gratitude to China for extending its cooperation in the difficult time
to Pakistan regarding unilateral US operation by the US in Abbottabad.
Earlier, addressing students of the university, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani stressed the need for enhancing educational collaboration between Pakistani and Chinese educational institutions for further strengthening and cementing Pak-China deep rooted ties.
He also emphasized for more cooperation in education research projects and students exchange between the two countries.

The Prime Minister said Pak-China all-weather friendship and
strategic cooperative partnership has withstood the vicissitude of time
and the changes in the international and regional situation adding that
both the countries have stood by each other at all times and under all
circumstances.
He appreciated China for extending its full support to Pakistan in
its own national efforts to safeguard our sovereignty and our core
national interests. On its Part, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan
has always strongly supported China on all issues. Pakistan he said
believes in One-China policy and firmly support China’s principled
stand on Tibet and Taiwan.
He described Peking University as one of the oldest and finest in the world and said Pakistan values the contribution it has made towards promoting China-Pakistan friendship.

Prime Minister Gilani referred to Pakistan Study Centre at the
Peking University and complimented Professor Tang Mengsheng, Director
of the Centre for his personal interest and solid contribution to
promoting greater contacts and collaboration between Pakistan and China.
He also appreciated the China Radio International for running
excellent programmes in its Urdu service and said more and more Urdu
speaking graduates of the Peking University are choosing to work in
Pakistan for Chinese companies and media. SANA
