ISLAMABAD : The nurses of the federal government hospital as well as
doctors and non-medical staff Thursday unanimously rejected the new job
structure, recently notified by the federal health ministry.
The
meeting that was convened by All Federal Employees Association here in
PIMS agreed that the new job structure are neither in the interest of
medics nor of nurses or paramedics.
The meeting discussed
reservations over the vague policy of the government regarding their
job structures, and allowances like practicing allowances, risk
allowances and others.
Representatives of nurses, doctors, and
paramedics in the meeting also send their reservations to the concerned
authorities after the meeting concluded.
“We were told nothing,
when we asked about pension plan, regularization of jobs and allowances
in the new structure. No notification regarding the issues is released.
We are only verbally told that such issues would be resolved soon,”
said Juliana William, president Nurses Action Committee in PIMS.
The dissatisfaction could lead to a joint protest if the vague policy of the government continues, she added. Online
