President Zardari decides to sideline Raza Rabbani in senate elections

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Zardari has decided not to give the party ticket to former minister Raza Rabbani for next senate elections as he not only showed differences with the party policy but also left government in the difficult time.

The well placed sources in PPP told Online that the slot of Deputy Secretary General of PPP would also be taken back from Rabbani. He resigned form federal ministry due to differences with party policy on the inclusion of PML(Q) into government alliances. Latter he also criticized the party leadership.
After that President Zardari , during a meeting made him clear that whatever position he holds whether senator and minister is due to Pakistan Peoples Party. He might have been an ordinary lawyer without the support of PPP.
The sources said that President Zardari has sent him a message that if he wants to resign from the chairmanship of parliamentary committees, he should inform the government. Online
