People could take up arms against US terrorism if army fails: Munawar Hasan

LAHORE : The Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that if the armed forces failed to protect the ideological and geographical boundaries of the country, the masses would be constrained t o take up arms against US terrorism.

He was addressing a huge rally at Multan Road pressing for freedom US slavery and for the defense of national independence.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the joint session of the parliament and the military leadership was only a talk show which had disappointed the nation so far as freedom from US slavery, pulling out of the US war on terror and stopping the drone attacks was concerned.
He said the Abbotabad tragedy had occurred only because the rulers were chained in US slavery.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that for the last 64 years, Pakistan was being ruled by the people who were protecting the US interests against national interests The US, he said, attacked our independence and solidarity but the forces which were on duty to defend national boundaries, were justifying the US operation, while the rulers had assured Washington of their complete obedience by greeting US on ‘a grand victory.”
The JI chief said that the nation had tried the PPP and the ANP and MQM alliances many times but their problems had been multiplying. Now was the time the nation gave an opportunity to the Jamaat e Islami adding that the JI not only knew how to protect the country’s independence and sovereignty but was also in a position to solve the peoples’ problems.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the Muslims were the target of US worst terrorism which planned to thrust its oppressive and tyranny all over the world. As against that, the Muslims wanted to introduce a justice based system. The Muslims forces were the main hurdle in the fulfillment of the US agenda. He was confident that the US and its allies would never succeed.
He said that the slave rulers of the Muslim world were in difficult situation these days because of the mass movements in their countries and the US efforts to save them had failed.
Later, talking to media men, the JI chief said that the rulers brought up by the US could not implement the unanimous resolution adopted by the in-camera session of the parliament. He said a similar resolution had been adopted in October 2008 but that had not been enforced till today. He said, as long as the people begging from US were in power in the country, the country’s independence and existence would be in danger. These rulers were the US pawns and the masses would have to rise against them/.
He said that the talk of an independent enquiry commission was meaningless as long as the US interference did not end. SANA
