Lahore : Former Pakistani cricketer Akram Raza has been arrested
along with five bookies during a police raid in Lahore.
Gulberg police conducted a raid on Ashrafi Plaza in Lahore following a tip
off, The Express Tribune reports.
A case against Raza has been registered.
Initial investigations point towards betting on the ongoing Indian Premier
League (IPL).
The police have also recovered cell phones, cash and contacts of bookies in
India.
It was not immediately known whether the group was involved in betting on the
ongoing test match between Pakistan and the West Indies. (ANI)
