LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza has said that for the first time in
history of Pakistan, military leadership has briefed the Parliament over
important and burning issues.
Talking to media during his meeting with Punjab Governor Latif Khosa, he
declared that the first of its kind in-camera briefing was a living proof of
governmental policies.
He said that government wanted to see a strong democratic system and
institutions in Country, while he also affirmed resolutions to carry forward the
policy of reconciliation on National issues.
The PM declared that government had always respected the masses’ mandate,
polity and democratic institutions.
He also directed the Punjab Governor to ensure that there was no political
instability / insecurity in the Province, especially in current volatile
