International media should not present the murder of Federal Minister Shahbaz Bhatti as an example of persecution of minorities in Pakistan.
These views were expressed by Pakistan People's Party Lahore General Secretary Akbar Khan while addressing a meeting of the PPP Lahore here on Monday.
He said that Shahbaz Bhatti was a national personality and his services would be remembered forever.
He said the whole nation would have to work against extremism and terrorism.
Earlier, participants in the meeting condemned the reopening of a case against Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan and expressed confidence in the leadership of PPP Co-chairman President Asif Ali Zardari.
The meeting decided to launch an awareness campaign and its schedule would be announced within two days.
