Security forces held 62 suspects from Karachi during search operation

The rangers and police have arrested 62 suspects during ongoing combined search operation in Federal B Area’s Yousuf Plaza after Pehalwan Goth here on Thursday.

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan has claimed that the security agencies have captured 182 suspects including 42 marked target killers in the going search operation in the city while four more persons have been killed in separate incidents of firing and violence in the metropolis.
Rangers and police are conducting combined search operations in various parts of city and they have arrested several hundred suspects so far.
The previous night, rangers and police launched search operation in Al-Rahim Plaza in Pehalwan Goth area and succeeded to arrest several suspects and seize arms and ammunition.
During the operation, several arrests were made while an alleged torture cell was also found in Yousuf Plaza.
The Rangers sealed Yousuf Plaza in FB Area and during the operation, a torture cell was discovered on the ground floor of the building and tools used to inflict torture were recovered. Investigations to find information about the owner and tenants are underway. Additional force was deputed near the plaza during the search operation.
According to the sources, twelve people were arrested during the operation while arms were also recovered from their possession and later they were transferred to an unknown location.
On the other hand, a search operation was also conducted in Rangarh Mohallah of Baldia Town and the entry and exit points of the area were sealed.
During the operation in Pehalwan Goth area of Gulistan-e-Johar, the Rangers destroyed pickets in a building and surveillance cameras that were used by the accused. The Rangers sealed the apartment building and the entry and exit points of the area. Commandos also took part in the search operation along with the Rangers
In a raid at a residential complex in Pehlwan Goth area of Gulistan-e-Johar, the Rangers personnel demolished bunkers built by criminals, who had installed CCTV cameras around the building.
The Law enforcers arrested seven suspects and captured a stolen car and two containers of carpets and computer hardware. The containers were looted at the National Highway. SANA
