ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Committee constituted for appointment of
judges in superior judiciary has accorded approval to regularise 2 out
of 6 additional judges of Sindh High Court (SHC) and it will take
decision regarding regularization of remaining 4 judges today.
Committee
met here Thursday under its chairman senator Nayyar Hussain Bokhari in
parliament house to review the recommendations sent by Judicial
Commission (JC).

Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had recommended to regularize 6 additional
judges of SHC. These judges included Justice Shahid Anwar, Justice
Ghulam Sarwar Porai, Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh, Justice Irfan Saadat
Khan, Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi and justice Muneeb Akhtar.
Sources
told Online parliamentary committee reviewed the record of all judges
during its meeting. However the participants of the meeting could not
develop consensus on regularisation of 4 out of 6 judges being record
of some judges incomplete. Therefore, the duration of meeting was
extended for one day more.Online
