President Zardari condoles with Karzai on his brother’s assassination

President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the Presidential Palace here and condoled with him over the assassination of his brother Ahmed Wali Karzai. The President and his delegation, which included Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Defence Minister Ch Ahmed Mukhtar and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar, were received by the Afghan President and members of his Cabinet at the Presidential Palace.

The President offered Fateha for the departed soul of Ahmed Wali Karzai.The President expressed his heartfelt condolences and termed the incident as most unfortunate.
He prayed to Allah Almighty for eternal peace of the deceased and to grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
Ahmed Wali Karzai was assassinated by his guard in Kandahar last week.President Karzai thanked the President and his delegation for this gesture. APP
