Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) and Mutahida Qaumi Movement
(MQM) submitted requisition to call the sessions of National Assembly
and Senate to discuss the latest incidents of the target killings of
Karachi It is worth mentioning here that it mandatory to summon the sessions of the NA and Senate after the submission of reacquisition.
The requisition for summoning the National Assembly was signed by 92 members of PML-N and 11 members of MQM.
The requisition for National Assembly was submitted by PML-N members
including Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Malik Abrar,
Imran Ali Shah, Raja Muhammad Asad, Sufyan Yousaf while MQM members
including Abdul Qadir Khanzada and SA Iqbal Qadri.
Requisition was submitted to Acting Secretary National Assembly
Major (retd) Moeen-ul-Islam meanwhile four point agenda was given in
the requisition, including demand of debate on current situation of
Karachi, rigging in recent Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, suspension
of Zafar Qureshi by bypassing the court orders and energy crisis and
increasing inflation in the country.
The requisition for Senate was submitted by Senator Ishaq Dar and
Senator Tahir Hussain Mashadi duly signed by 33 members of Senate.
Talking to media persons after submitting the requisition Senator
Ishaq Dar said that the submission of is the manifestation of the joint
strategy of the PML-N and MQM.
He said that the chairman senate would give the ruling on the
appointment of opposition leader in senate, adding that they are
hopeful the ruling would be announced in their favour.
Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi on the occasion said that being the
biggest opposition party of the PML-N and Mian Nawaz Sharif as the
leader of the opposition, adding that it is right of the PML-N to lead
the opposition.
He said that MQM would support PML-N and would adopt joint strategy
in the parliament, adding that the MQM would continue to play the role
of opposition and would highlight the problems of the masses.
He said that it was MQM who highlighted the problems of the masses
in front of government, adding that setting aside of NRO, drone attacks
inside Pakistani territory and other problems were brought in front of
government by the MQM. SANA
