Prime
Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday asked the Minister for
Information and Broadcasting to take concrete steps for improvement of
the service conditions of its employees and their capacity building
through special training. He called for orientation of the officers of
Information Group through modern media management techniques and enable
them to interact confidently with the media organizations. Talking to
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq
Awan at the PM House, the Prime Minister highlighted the important role
of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in dissemination of
information of public importance.
He said the broadcasting and terrestrial television network available
with the Ministry can be best employed for this purpose. He said that
public awareness through media is the most effective mode of
communication.
