Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has asked the Minister for
Information and Broadcasting to take concrete steps for improvement of
the service conditions of the employees of the Ministry as well as
capacity building through special training at various levels.
He further asked that orientation of the officers of the information
Group to modern media management techniques may be made to enable them
to interact confidently with the media organizations.
The Prime Minister was talking to Federal Minister for Information
and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, who called on him at PM’s
House here on Friday.
The Prime Minister, while highlighting the important role of the
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in dissemination of
information of public importance said that the broadcasting and
terrestrial television network available with the Ministry can be best
employed for this purpose. He said that public awareness through media
is the most effective mode of communication.
The Minister for Information and Broadcasting briefed the Prime
Minister about the working of the Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting and various steps taken by it for facilitation of the media. SANA
