IJT protest against American embassy’s “ gay and lesbian” event

ISLAMABAD: Islami Jamait -e-Tuleba (IJT) held a protest against American embassy’s hosting of an event in favor of gay and lesbian elements of Pakistan, here at Aabpara Chowk on Friday.

The protestors who were carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-American slogans also raised vociferous slogans, protesting against the shameful event held by American embassy.
IJT said the event was strictly against Islamic norms and values, demanded of the Pakistani government to summon the American ambassador and register its strong protest over the shameful issue.
The protestors tried to march towards the American embassy, but were restrained by police, who baton charged the protestors and fired teargas shells at them, wounding some students in a minor way. Online
