PM Gilani says matter of Zafar Qureshi to govt respects judiciary

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani says the government respects the judiciary, has implemented its decisions and will do the same now, adding that the issue of Zafar Qureshi will be resolved soon, adding that he was not aware about the issuance of arrest warrants of DG FIA by the Supreme Court.

He was talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Monday after visiting Mango Festival.
About Karachi, the Prime Minister said he talked to Governor Sindh and Interior Minister. He said measures are being taken the improve the situation in the city.
To a question, he said the Ministers whose Miniseries have been devolved to provinces under the 18th amendment, would be given other portfolios.
Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said under the 18th amendment, all the provinces have the right to generate electricity at their own.
To a question, the Prime Minister said essential goods will be provided at subsidized rates at the Utility Stores outlets during the holy month of Ramazan. He urged the traders to give relief to the people during the holy month.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan wants to have good relations with its neighbors including Afghanistan, Iran and India. He said dialogue is the only way to resolve the issues between India and Pakistan. He said Jammu and Kashmir issue will also be discussed during talks with India.
He expressed the hope that there will be a positive outcome from the Foreign Ministerial level dialogue between the two countries.
He said that is his desire that the Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar should bring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with her in Multan and should invite him to eat mangoes. SANA
