Minister
for Interior, Rehman Malik on Wednesday said Pakistan and China enjoy
time-tested friendship as their mutual relations would bring stability
and prosperity in the region.
He
was talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Liu Jian, who called on
the Minister here and discussed issues of bilateral and mutual
interests.During
the meeting, the Minister said the government was adopting special
measures to ensure security of Chinese citizens, working in Pakistan. He also directed the concerned agencies to take further steps to provide fool-proof security to Chinese people.
The
Ambassador said China attaches special attention to its ties with
Pakistan. He said both the countries are extending every possible
cooperation to each other and China wishes to further strengthen its
relations with Pakistan.
He thanked the Minister for ensuring enhanced security for the Chinese citizens, working in different areas of Pakistan. APP
