Karachi violence claim another 12 lives

Violence has once again let loose a new wave of killings in the metropolis, as terrorists have taken lives of 12 persons here on Wednesday, which took the death toll at 27 during the last 24 hours.

Meantime, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Acting Governor Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuro has directed IG Sindh Syed Wajid Ali Durrani take strict action against the terrorists.
Earlier on Wednesday, bodies of at five people were recovered from a mini-bus on Shabbir Usmani Road in Block-1 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The bodies were shifted to hospital by ambulances. All five people met their deaths by receiving gunshots.
According to the sources these persons were kidnapped and later shot to death these persons were residents of Bajaur Agency, who were earning their livelihood in Karachi.
A dead body of unknown person packed in bad was recovered from the Baldia town near the northern bypass; meanwhile another person was shot to death in Baldia Town.
At least three person were killed and one injured in the result of the firing of unidentified persons in Baldia Town Rashidabad area of the city.
One person was killed in the Khadda Market in the result of the firing of the unknown person; meanwhile on late Wednesday night one person was shot down in Lee Market area of the city.
Meanwhile at late Wednesday night three persons were killed and six others injured in the result of the firing of unidentified persons in Kati Pahari Qaba Colony area of the city.
The worst affected flashpoint was Orangi Town, where at least 14 people were killed in firing incidents in different areas on Tuesday.
Police sources said they had arrested from Orangi Town at least 12 culprits involved in target killings in the metropolis.
Meanwhile police on Wednesday recovered more than 90 hand grenade bombs from a drum.
