KARACHI : Central Secretary of organizing committee of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that parliament accepted a condemnation resolution against American drone attacks and Abbottabad raid, which was a great achievement but now the government should act upon the resolution. Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) here on Wednesday Saad Rafique said that opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan played a major role in the approval of resolution against Abbottabad operation and drone attacks in the National assembly. He said that the PML-N raised a strong voice against American drone attacks and covert American military operation against Al-Qaida Chief Osama Bin-Laden in Abbottabad.He said that the drone attacks are against the country’s sovereignty and the government and security agencies should assure the country’s autonomy. He highlighted that Pakistan has several options to stop the drone attacks and involvement of Americanagencies in the country. Pakistan could stop NATO supply and exchange of intelligence information between ISI and CIA. PML-N central leader emphasized that the time has come for the implementation on the resolution which was passed in National Assembly. He said it was Dictator General Musharraf who provided safe heaven to American agencies in Pakistan. He said that Musharraf was responsible for the murder of Nawab AkbarBughti and the government should get him arrested through Interpol. MNA Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Mian Nawaz Sharif will soon visit Balochistan. People of Balochistan are unhappy with this current government as it had forgotten its promises made with the people of Balochistan. He said that innocent people are being killed in Balochistan adding that government of Balochistan hasfailed to deliver.PML-N leader said that the visit of PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif to Sindh remained highly successful.During his visits ton Karachi and Hyderabad he met the nationalist leaders of Sindh.
MNA Saad Rafique admitted that PML-N started its campaign in Sindh very late. To a question, Saad Rafique said that target killing and extortion Mafia have created many problems for the people of Sindh.He alleged that one coalition partner of the government had occupied lands of KPT and other partner lands of Pakistan Steel Mill adding that the people of Sindh are in the tight grip of rural and urban land grabbers. He regretted flood survivors in Sindh were still awaiting government’s help, adding Chief Minister Punjab provided all the basic facilities to the flood affectees of Punjab and allocated a heavy budgetfor their rapid rehabilitation. He said that all the political parties should work for the betterment of the country.He demanded of the government that to appoint qualified and able officers in all national organizations and remove its corrupt lackeys.Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Saleem Zia Chief Organizer Sindh, Syed Hafeez-u-din, MNA Dr Darshan Lal, Qadir Khan Mandokhail and other were also present.
