ISLAMABAD: PML (like minded) president Salim Saifullah has warned
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain that he can be removed as parliamentary leader
in senate if he does not refrain from threatening estranged senators.
Senator
Salim Saifullah said this while addressing a press conference here
Wednesday in Muslim League Secretariat. “Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is
threatening our senators on telephone that they will be declared
disqualified. We want to make it clear on Chaudhry Shujaat that he is
controversial chairman of party and he has become president for the
third term in violation of constitution of the party. He can be removed
from the office of parliamentary party leader in senate if he does not
desist from pursuing negative tactics ”, he maintained.
He went
on to say disappearance of senator Mushahid Hussain from the scene
after joining the government by PML-Q was a question mark as it was his
slogan “Luttoo tey Phutto”. “Now we are looking forward to his new
slogan”, he added.
He alleged Chaudhry brothers decided to join
the government to serve their personnel interest and this way cracks
had deepened in the rank of PML-Q. Even ministers of PML-Q were
resigning from their portfolios, he held.
Responding to a
question he said PML like minded and dissidents had assured Ishaq Dar
of their support for the slot of opposition leader in senate as “we
want opposition plays a proactive role in the prevailing situation.
Castigating
the government he said rulers had become insensitive as drone attacks
were continuing despite adoption of resolution by joint sitting of both
the houses of senate.
He told that like minded group was in
contact with all political parties and it would not merge into PML-N as
“we will maintain our separate entity. Online
