Shutter down observed throughout Balochistan

QUETTA: Shutter down strike was observed throughout Balochistan on Wednesday against murder of pilgrims in district Mastung.

As per details, unknown armed men had gunned down 29 pilgrims by opening indiscriminate fire on a bus heading towards Taftan. Businessmen and traders observed it as mourning day and staged protest. Ittehad Traders Balochistan, Tahafuz Azadari Council and Hazara Democratic Party had appealed for the strike.
All the shopping malls and markets on Alamdar Road, Hazara Town and Murree Abad remained shut whereas angry mob closed the roads for all types of traffic by placing hurdles at them. Raised slogans against the government and expressed deep grief over the firing incident.
Gloom prevailed in the area. Tahafuz Azadari Council, Wahdat Bain-ul-Muslaimeen Balochistan Shia Council and Shia Ulema Council have appealed for seven days mourning throughout the province.
Police arrested more than 200 suspects in this regard and interrogations are underway. Online
