ISLAMABAD: After the imposition of Petroleum Development Levy (PDL)
and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced the price of LPG by Rs
11 per kilogram .New Price of would be Rs 115 per kg.

back OGRA has issued instructions to the production companies to impose
PDL on the sale of liquid petroleum gas by atleast Rs 13 per kg (Rs
11450 per ton) in order to facilitate the importers of LPG, which was
to be implemented from 21 September .
LPG Asociation Pakistan
(LPGAP) has criticized the OGRA for increasing the price of LPG. They
said that the impact of increasing price would have to pass on to the
consumers. On the other hand the people also rejected the
implementation of PDL on LPG.
But on the first day of
implemantion of petroleum development levy, OGRA once again came in the
action and reduced the price of LPG by Rs 11 per kg. The new price
would be Rs 115 per kg, where the cylinder of liquid petroleum gas
would be available for Rs 1355 through out the country.
OGRA has issued the notification regarding decreasing the LPG price.
When
contacted Irfan Khokhar Chairman LPG Association of Pakistan , he told
this scribe that the association supports new LPG policy 2011 . He said
that OGRA initiative to reduce the price of LPG would provide relief to
the consumers especially the people of hilly areas, AJK and Gilgit
Baltistan where LPG is used as fuel during winter season. Online
