ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Chairman, Imran Khan has said
that the winds of change are blowing across the entire national
spectrum which will destroy the citadels of corruption of the ruling
mafias who have looted and destroyed the country.
He was
addressing a press conference at PTI Central Secretariat here on Monday
on the eve of Brigadier (Retired) Ismail Khan from PF 23 and Ahmad
Habib Kundi from D. I. Khan joining the party along with hundreds of
their supporters, says a press statement.
Imran Khan welcomed
them to the party and hoped that their joining would further strengthen
the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PTI Chief said that Sindh was
bracing the worst floods of its history affecting over 5 million
people, but the rulers were away holidaying in Europe. He said that PTI
has provided relief to over five million people of the area through
Imran Khan Foundation and more relief would be sent there during the
next week. He said that the allegations levelled by Zulfiqar Mirza
are not of an ordinary nature and they cannot be brushed away.
Imran
demanded that a formal judicial enquiry should be instituted to
ascertain the veracity of the allegations. He also called upon the
Supreme Court to summon Zulfiqar Mirza and Pir Mazhar ul Haq in this
regard. Imran Khan disclosed that all ruling parties have their
militant wings in Karachi and they are involved in terrorist acts.
He
said that the so-called ‘war on terror’ had claimed 35,000 lives and
Pakistan had incurred a loss of over US$ 65 billion. Pakistan, he said,
is stuck in a quagmire and only PTI is capable of extricating the
country out of this mess. PTI has emerged as the only party that is
trusted by the people. Imran Khan further said that people had
rendered countless sacrifices for an independent judiciary and now they
expected that the Chief Justice would deliver justice. PTI Central
