ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support
Programme (BISP), Farzana Raja met Werner Liepach, Country Director
Asian Development Bank (ADB) at BISP Secretariat on Monday.
It
was a prelude to her forthcoming meeting with the President and senior
management of ADB during which various issues pertaining to cooperation
between the two organizations will be discussed. She informed the
Country Director of ADB about various measures of BISP which are
bringing about revolutionary socio-economic changes in the lives of
millions affected by abject poverty.
Werner Liepach lauded the
efforts of BISP regarding uplifting the living standards of the poor
segment of society and poverty alleviation while assuring Asian
