Chairman Muhajir Qaumi Movement Afaq submits application in SC on Karachi killings

KARACHI: The detained Chairman of Muhajir Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) Afaq Ahmed has submitted an application in Supreme Court Karachi Registry to become the party in the case regarding law and order situation in Karachi.

The statement issued from temporary Bait-ul-Hamza, headquarters of Muhajir Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) said that the Supreme Court has been requested in the application submitted by Afaq Ahmed that he may be allowed to record his detailed statement as has some documentary evidences, which would be presented in Supreme Court.
The statement added that Muhajir Qaumi Movement is the biggest victim of targeted killing in Karachi. Afaq not only attached some documentary proofs alongwith his application stating the a big political party in the city was involved in continues target killing of workers and leaders of Muhajir Qaumi Movement but also tried to inform the court about anti state activities of Mutahida Qaumi Movement.
It has also been requested that MQM and its leader Altaf Hussain should be banned in the best interest of the country. Afaq in his statement said that soon the people and media would also be taken into confidence regarding details of these documentary proofs
It is too appropriate to cite here that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary took sue-moto action on the state of affairs in Karachi. A bench of Supreme Court is hearing the case at SC Karachi Registry. Online
