Pakistan must address china’s concerns if any: Mushahid

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan China Institute Mushahid Hussain Sayad Friday said that Pakistani delegation should visit china to discuss cooperation against terrorism and address any concern of Beijing if it exists.

Speaking to a siminar here in Sir Sayad Mememorial Society he said that after the recent terrorist attacks in Kashghar, a high level Pakistani security delegation should visit Beijing not only to further enhance cooperation between the two friends against terrorism but to also address concern of China.
“Pakistani government should make it sure that its territory should not be used by any negative force,” Chairman of the first think-tank on Pak-China relations said. He said that Pakistan would never allow anyone to use its territory against any neighbor in the region. If there exist any element that is supported by a foreign force that it must be eradicated, he added.
Sayad said that China and Pakistan are cooperating each other against terrorism and different fields.
He said that Kshghar has turned into a soecial economic zone and a symbol of energy, economic cooperation. China on one side cooperating with Pakistan and on the other with Afghanistan and enjoy good relations with Central Asian States as well. “Kashghar is key to future regional and economic cooperation,” he said.
To a question over relations between China and Pakistan, he said that the two countries are time-tested friends and China never doubt intentions of Pakistan.
Chinese scholar and visiting professor of Jamshoro University Chou Rong, former Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokar, Inamul Haque, retired Brigadier Iqbal Shafi and others were present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Khokar discussed in details the regional situation, US design, Pak-India relations, Pak-US relations and the regional situation.
Speakers on this occasion said that certain anonymous sources had cited unknown Chinese officials saying that elements in Pakistan had links with the attacks but Chinese officials clarified that no one could be blamed in this way and lauded Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism. Online
