IRSA snubs Sindh plea to cut down Punjab water supply

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) rejected Sindh’s request to suspend water supply to Punjab from Chashma, Jhelum and Taunsa-Panjnad Link Canal here on Friday.

Talking to a private TV channel, Chairman IRSA Rao Irshad Ali said Sindh was being provided three percent more than its due share, adding Sindh was given water share from Manglad Dam in April as well.
Despite Sindh concerns over the ongoing water supply to Punjab, IRSA revved up water supply to 4000 cusecs from Chashma Jhelum Link Canal and 3000 cusecs from Taunsa-Panjnad Link Canal. SANA
