Farooq Sattar presents list of 500 gangsters of Karachi in NA

Dr. Farooq Sattarhas demanded a strict action against terrorists and the gangsters in Karachi for restoration of peace there. He said that patrolling and pickets of Rangers should be enhanced in sensitive areas to quell the current wave of violence, adding that a parliamentary fact finding committee on Karachi should be formed to know the real causes behind the unrest.

This he said while talking part in debate on the overall law and order situation in the country with particular reference to the situation in Karachi and Quetta.
Farooq Sattar also presented the details of 500 gangsters in the assembly, adding that the efforts are underway to make Karachi as mouth piece of terrorists, so that the last fort against terrorism could be overcome, adding that the committee should be formed to know the real causes behind the unrest.
He said that the work for the division of Karachi is underway from November 2008, adding that the bigwigs of the government are involved in the unrest of Karachi.
He said that series of target killings have been started in 2008, adding that the people have been left on the mercy of terrorists, adding that if we are proved wrong than we would be ready to quit the assemblies and politics also.
He said that 30 percent gangsters belong to political parties, adding that 1500 persons have been killed in from January 2011 to July 2011.
Continuing his debate on the law and order situation Dr. Farooq Sattar said a judicial commission should also be constituted to unmask the elements responsible for the massacre that took place in Qasba Colony, Orangi, Malir, Landhi and Kati Pahari areas.
He said that compensation should also be given to the families of deceased. He said police has failed to control the situation in Karachi therefore greater powers should be given to the Rangers besides the army could also be called in as per the constitution to maintain the law and order situation.
