Court’s authority will not be allowed to be failed: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said court’s authority will not be allowed to be failed and no summery is needed on court’s decision.

CJP gave these remarks while heading a 5-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing of implementation of court’s decision in PCO judges’ case here Friday.
Babar Awan appeared on behalf of federation. He told the court summary had been sent to Prime Minister about PCO judges.
CJP said it was court’s order and there was no need of any summary in this respect. “Keep your summary with you. Court’s authority will not be allowed to be failed. Ask the Prime Minister to issue notification today”, CJP remarked.
Babar Awan prayed the court to grant two days more as Prime Minister was not in Islamabad.
